The Empowered Optimal Health approach evaluates six important pillars of your health.
These are:
Energy Production
Energy production one of the most important aspects of our health. We need energy for this is the basis of how our body heals and repairs, and regenerates, digests, and thinks, and how our heart beats. Everything in our body depends on our energy production which is made by an organelle called the mitochondria. So if we don’t have good energy production from called the mitochondria, we can never really have true health because every single components of healing requires energy.
Detoxification & Oxidation
Our cells and our organs need to properly detoxify to function. There are already so many toxins that are a natural byproduct of metabolism, but now in today’s world we’re exposed to even more toxins than ever before. No we are being exposed t so many new chemicals that have never existed before in nature. Oxidation also plays an important role, because it is part of the detoxification process. Oxidative stress is an imbalance of free radicals and antioxidants in the body, which can lead to cell and tissue damage. The body’s cells produce free radicals during normal metabolic processes.Several factors contribute to oxidative stress and excess free radical production. Some of these factors can including diet, lifestyle and environmental factors such as pollution.lifestyle. Uncontrolled oxidative stress can accelerate the aging process and may contribute to the development of a number of conditions.
Brain Health & Mindset
A healthy brain makes healthy decisions. An unhealthy brain makes unhealthy decisions, so we want to make sure that the patient has the right mindset, the right internal dialogue, and they have the right chemistry for the brain to function optimally.
Diet & Digestion
This is where we focus not only on what you eat, but how you digest it, and how you assimilate it. We also see how well you eliminate the waste products (via skin, stool, urine) as a result of the digestion process.
Stress Hormones & Inflammation
We focus on the two hormones are Cortisol and Insulin. When you are stressed, your body releases hormones such as cortisol that turn on essential functions for your survival, such as higher blood pressure and rapid decision-making, while inhibiting non-essential functions, such as immune function, digestion, and protein synthesis.
Lifestyle & Environment
Our lifestyle, the everyday choices we make and our environment all play a very important role in our cell signalling which ultimately is what all six of these pillars are designed to do, it’s designed to help promote cellular health and good cell signalling.
Instead of focusing on and trying to treat individual health issues as isolated diagnosed diseases, we look at the individual as a whole. We address how to optimize bodily symptoms, correct imbalances, and dysfunctions by removing whatever is interfering with their health and add in what is missing.
How the Essentials program of care is different.
You feel heard and understood:
You feel heard and understood:This program is for anyone who does not feel fine, or has some unexplained symptoms but has been told “everything looks fine,”. This program is for anyone who has felt frustrated with the lack of explanation, education, and solutions they need to help them resolve their health problems. This program is for you, if you know that there must be a better, smarter way to rebuild your health and you are looking for a personalized approach so that you and your family can create extraordinary health and live an extraordinary life.
We do a deep dive into your health history
We start by listening to you so that we fully understand your story. Your experiences , discussion of major life events combined with your health history helps us identify the causes of your health concerns.
Personalized attention
Because no two peoples they have different genetic, biochemical and environmental factors are the same becauare the sameand yet there are many factors that affect your health. Guided by our team, we will get to the root cause of your disease – using diagnostic tests that your current doctor may not even know about.
We’ll explore your situation holistically, uncovering mediators in your home, at work, and your mental state to arrive at a “lifestyle prescription” that puts you back on the road to health.
Customized and Specialized testing
We use functional lab testing to identify root causes at a cellular level to help identify your blind spots and so that we can personalize your treatment. An example of what some of these tests help identify are chronic infections that can burden the body with high levels of inflammation, or chronic infections that are depleting your ability to make certain vitamins. Some of these test can help discover which the key nutrient deficiencies you may have that are preventing your mitochondria (the organelle that makes your body’s energy) from producing enough energy for you to think clearly, feel good, have energy think and to be able to carry out everyday metabolic processes in your body.
You are fully involved in your own healing process
Since the patient literally determines the outcome of their own health, it is important to realize that you the patient will be an active participant in this program. This is in contrast to conventional health care where that patient is passively taken care of by the patient having something done to them by a practitioner, or a medication does something to the patient. This program is considered active care meaning that the person is actively engaged and through their actions, responsible for the benefits. The practitioner’s role is to identify “blind spots” and raise awareness of issues that can be interfering with optimal health, as well as provide knowledge and continual support to do what is necessary to address these issues.
